You’ll never feel lost, alone or intimidated in our gym.

We know this is how many feel when they walk into a gym and after a basic induction many give up as they simply don’t feel adequately prepared or confident.

We are a family run business and want everyone to feel at home and as an extended part of our family, all are welcome, all are encouraged to be the best they can be.

We offer a day pass which is designed for those visiting the gym as a one-off. This allows one visit, full use of gym equipment both upstairs and downstairs. (Classes are not covered with a day pass).

Our Staff

  • Alice - Gym Manager & PT

I’ve always been active and been brought up around a very active family. I joined the gym when I was 17 years old and had no idea what I was doing, I learnt loads through YouTube and Instagram but benefitted most by investing in a personal trainer myself.

I want to be able to help people just as my PT did for me and this is when I pursued fitness as a career, it changed my life and I believe it can change everyone else’s too. I started a bootcamp and PT in a park and now am fortunate to also work from Thrive Gym too! Working here as brought many many opportunities and has opened my eyes to the world of powerlifting and I have recently competed in my first powerlifting meet.

I believe that no matter your age, gender or ability you can become your most strongest and fittest self through training and hard work.

Become a better you, for you.

  • Seb - PT

Ever since I was a toddler I’ve loved fitness. When I was a young teen I started mixed martial arts and excelled in it competing at high levels. During that time I found my passion for fitness and I wanted to make my passion my career and give people all the benefit that come with training and fitness. Im currently finishing my level 3 in personal training and moving on to my level 4.

Recently joining the team at thrive gym they have been nothing but supportive in my development as a trainer, If your looking for a friendly gym with amazing trainers who care about each individual look no further.

No matter what your current level of fitness is or what goal you have in mind we can get you there.

  • Libby - PT

I first decided to become a Personal Trainer because until recently, I had always struggled in one way or another with my weight. I constantly dipped up and down, resulting in awful self-esteem issues and a bad relationship with food. I’d never really enjoyed exercise due to being bullied at school and it also didn’t help that I lacked knowledge regarding working out, as well as the confidence to do so.

My proudest achievement is losing 6 stone and making a change in my life for the better. This helps me resonate with people who want to make change as I’ve been there and done that.

My mission is to help people to feel more confident and find exercises they enjoy.

  • Josh - PT

My fitness journey has only recently started, from a young age I have always been active and adventurous, from walking in the lake district and Derbyshire, to kayaking and trips to Dartmoor, and fencing where I competed in many competitions winning Southeast Under 18’s and competing and national competitions but though late teenage years this became less important to me. I was still active but lost my love for exercise, in this time I attempted going to many a gym, but the habit never stuck.

After a mentally difficult time at the end of 2021, I decided to join a gym again and that was it, after the first session I was hooked. A couple of months I was the strongest and healthiest I had ever been, my love of exercise returned. From this love I have developed

I’d love to help others become the best they can be both physically and mentally. I feel at Thrive I will be able to help so many in all stages of their fitness journey.

I have recently completed my Level 3 Personal Training and Sports Massage. Now that I am qualified, I am looking to expand my knowledge to ensure I can provide the best service I can.

  • Rachel - Manager

I definitely have NOT always had a passion for health and wellness… In fact I spent the majority of my life engaging in very self-destructive behaviours (don’t worry, it gets happier)

After many turbulent years trying to improve my physical and mental health, trying out my fair share of terrible advice from a host of sources, I eventually learned what true wellness is - For me, nourishing my mind and body, taking time for myself and finding a passion in strength training (and losing 30kg).

This has transformed my life to the extent that I want to help others do the same and I have the opportunity to do that in my role here at Thrive Selsey.

  • Callum - Manager

Initially I came to thrive to lend a hand getting the gym set up, I expected to find a working position, instead I found a second home.

After spending years in the fitness industry, nearing a decade familiarising myself with most gyms across the country I’m proud to call Thrive my new home.

I have completed as a powerlifter for the last eight years and represented England at three world Championships which I’m proud to have won.

As much as I loved my sport, I had a much greater passion for my position as a coach and for my businesses.

Having developed my understanding of the industry, of people, I find myself now seeing many people thrive at our gym, shapemaster suite, cafe and beauty rooms.

My passion has always been in helping people, and there is no better place to see people progress and become the better version of themselves than at thrive.
